Meet Our Team

Staff

Bronwyn Barnes

Executive Officer

I developed a love of volunteering when I was a child and when I moved to the Central Coast in 2006, I started volunteering at the local community centre in Warnervale.

Our family became involved in many local community development projects and other volunteering roles to help advocate and support our growing community.

I feel fortunate to have worked with so many children, families and communities for over 30 years in Community Based Preschools and Neighbourhood Centres including the Toukley Neighbourhood Centre for the last 10 years.

Susan Crossley

Centre Administrator

I have lived in the Toukley area all my life.

I started working at TNC in 2010 and enjoy working with the Toukley Community and the NSW NILS network.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and being out on the water.

Bonnie Merz

Aboriginal and Community Support Worker

I am a very proud Indigenous and Samoan woman who loves serving her community.

My love and passion for helping others comes from my dear mother who served for 30 years at St Vincent De Pauls at Wyong. Going to work with my mum at such a young age made me so grateful for everything I have in life. From that moment, I was on a mission to help others from all walks of life. Nothing feels better than to be able to help others.

I love spending time with my beautiful family. I love all things FOOD. LOL and I love my work. I have worked at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre for nearly 4 years.

Anne-Marie Moon

Community Visitors Scheme
Co-ordinator

I moved to the Central Coast in the late 1970’s and have been involved in many sporting groups and schools throughout the years.

I had my own fancy dress hire business at Long Jetty and later Gorokan for 16 years before working in retail in Toukley.

Since 2000 I have worked at the Centre in many supporting roles before becoming the Coordinator of The Community Visitors Scheme.

During this time, I have seen the Centre grow enormously and provide our local community with amazing unconditional support. I am proud to be part of the team of workers and volunteers at TNC.

Kathleen Olmanns

No Interest Loans Worker

I started at TNC in early 2024. New to the Communitysector, I am really looking forward to growing my skills and knowledge, and working to help NILS clients.

In my free time, I enjoy going to movies and the beach.

Wendy Timmins

No Interest Loans Worker

I started with TNC as a volunteer in 2015 and then joined the staff team in NILS in 2018.

I enjoy working in the amazing TNC team and am very passionate about the NILS program.

I love spending my free time with my children and grandchildren.

Jodie Jenkins

Food Care Coordinator

I started Volunteering at a local Outside School Hours Care Service before offered some casual work in 2001. I also volunteered for 8 years at my local scout group, and as a Joey Scout Leader.

I then became a qualified Primary teacher with Masters in Special Ed. I then started at the Centre as a Work for the Dole participant, and I’m honoured to have stayed on learning new skill and participating in Community Events, and programs and services that have helped so many of our wonderful community.

My love to help others comes from my time through the scouting movement since I was 11, and this continues to this day. I have been blessed to work with the wonderful and dedicated staff and Volunteers at Toukley Neighbourhood Centre, Community Café and now TNC Food Care.
